Strollers, Sleeping, Bottles, Schedules.......

Okay so I have tons of questions on my blog from other mom's expecting twins about what strollers I use etc so I thought I would do a informational post for all you lucky ladies out there that have twins on the way! I know I scoured the Internet looking for all the info I could!

Now mind you, this is just what I use and things I find work for us, that doesn't mean you have to agree with me! Hell think I am nuts for all I care! Lol! Most people already do!

Strollers: Both Gary and I have the Baby Trend Double snap and go, I honestly would be lost without it. It is light, folds very compact and is easy to fold and open. If I could use this forever I would!

Gary and I each also have a jogging stroller (no I don't jog, neither does he) he has a baby trend Expedition and I have a BoB Duallie, if you are the outdoorsy type and can afford it I recommend the Bob. We do tons of camping and spend most of the summer outdoors so we need a good all terrain stroller.

Sleeping arrangements: When we first came home the girls slept in a Graco Twin pack and play/bassinet thingy. It has two bassinets on top. If it didn't turn into a regular pack and play after I was done using it I would say it was a waste of money but since I use it as a pack and play for when the girls are outside on the deck I would say it was worth it. The pack and play is huge by the way. The girls originally shared a bassinet side, then we separated them into their own and by 7 weeks I had them sleeping in a crib together. At around 12 weeks we had to separate them into their own cribs, Finley is a mover and I would find her with her head in Gillians side all crooked and sideways in the crib. They sleep MUCH better separated now.

Feeding/Breastfeeding/diapering: I didn't have a very good birth experience. If you haven't read my birth story yet, it was in Decembers blog posts. My milk didn't come in for a long time, the girls got so used to the bottle that I ended up pumping every 2 hours for them. It was TORTURE, but one I was willing to endure so my girls got as much breast milk as I could produce. I worked with a Lactation Consultant in the hospital to try to get them to latch and to be honest with you, it was stressing me and them and just wasn't worth my sanity at that point. I pumped until I was 7 weeks and then switched over to all formula, I was going back to work and just couldn't handle pumping every 2 hours anymore. I am happy with my decision. Don't let anyone guilt you into doing something you don't want to do and honestly when you have two babies you need to do everything you can to stay sane!

Luckily my girls never had reflux issues and tolerated cheap formula. I have a membership to a local wholesale club (BJ's) and buy their formula. What a freaking godsend.....I pay $20.000 for a 51 oz can of formula (its huge) and it lasts me about 4 days. It is comparable to the expensive brands in ingredients and the girls are thriving on it. If you haven't priced out formula, be in for a shocker! I highly suggest you get a membership to a BJ's or Cosco if you have one near you.

Diapers are another thing I get at BJ's. We were using Pampers at first, they were around $40.00 at BJ's for a huge case. After diapering the girls for a couple months with them we decided to try LUV's which were only $30.00 a case at Bj's. I love them. I fought Gary tooth and nail about trying them but honestly I have never had a leak or a blow out in them and have had many with the pampers. So I am a LUV's girl. They are cheaper and in my opinion work better.

Bottles: Before the girls came I stocked up on 5oz bottles. What.a.freaking.mistake. I think we used them for a month before we needed the 9oz bottles. Don't bother with them, just go straight to the big bottles and save yourself tons of money!

Boppys: We have 2, we used to use them when the girls were smaller to feed them at the same time if we needed too, now we use them for tummy time. Eh, I could have lived without them personally. I actually use them more for a pillow on my couch than the girls do!

Bouncers: We have 5, enough said. We got them 2 kick and plays (it has a light bar and music when they kick the bouncer) they love them. They kick and play forever in them. We have 3 extras that we got from friends etc that I will bring to the camper this summer so we have them there.

Playmat: We have 1, I am getting a second for the camper. They use it daily

Bumbo's: They love their bumbo's. I have the trays that go on them too and put toys on them for them and they face each other and play with their toys.

Clothes: I got Preemie and NB clothes to start the girls on. I wish I kept the tags on the preemie stuff because they didn't fit it them. They started out in NB clothes and wore them for about a month.

Swaddlers: Can't have enough of them. Buy lots.

Schedules: People always ask me if they are on the same schedule. I don't understand how two different babies can be doing the same thing at the same times. My girls are very different in their sleeping needs and that throws everything off. Gillian will usually sleep a hour for her morning nap where Finn will sleep two. I will not wake a sleeping baby to keep them on the same schedule. Some will, sorry, I'm not one of them.

They usually eat at different times during the day too. I prefer it this way personally. I could put them both in boppies and feed them both but to be honest with you when you have two babies you cant pay as much attention to them as you would if you just had one baby so I enjoy feeding times. Its our alone time together. Now obviously if you have two screaming babies that are hungry at the same time screw your alone time. Then I feed them together.

Nighttime: Both of my girls sleep through the night for the most part. Some night Gillian will get up at 2 to eat, on occasion Finley will too. But usually they are sleeping through. We start our bedtime routine at around 6sh, I do baths, bottles and then a little play time (if they are not over tired and cranky)and its bed by 7-7:30 latest.

Feeding ourselves: When I was pregnant I decided I was going to start a freezer stash of meals that Gary and I could quickly throw in the oven while we were taking care of the girls. I made tons and tons of things and after the girls came it saved our lives! Literally. I don't think we would have ate the first month if it wasn't for those frozen meals. I still have some left as a matter of fact and use them in a pinch. And on occasion on the weekends when I am feeling motivated I will make a few things for the freezer. I wish I would have thought of it sooner instead of cooking like a maniac when I was 33 weeks pregnant!

Consignment Shops: Seriously, if you have one near you like Once Upon a Child go and check them out. I get tons of the girls clothes there, they still have the tags on alot of their things and they are cheap! It is also a nice place to look for things like mobiles, bouncers and exersaucers. If you told me to go to a consignment shop before I got pregnant I would have laughed at you....honestly I am that stuck up, but once you have to buy clothes for 2 kids that are growing like weeds you will think differently!

Thats all I can think of for now! Hope I answered a few of your questions! If you have more just let me know and good luck with your babies!!

Day in the life of twins

So people often ask me what my day is like with two babies. Its hard to describe unless you have been at our house but I thought I would give everyone a pretty good run down of our life now with two 4 month old girls. So this was our Saturday......

6:30am Gillian cries to get up, I poke Gary in the side "Gary, go get Gillian and bring her to bed with us, maybe we can sleep longer". He brings her to me and she falls asleep next to me.

7:30 Finley is crying now in her crib, I poke Gary in his side "Gary go get Finley" (see a pattern here?) And he gets her and brings her to bed with us.

8:00am Babies don't wanna sleep anymore. Up and At Em! Diapers changed, bottles made and babies are fed! Daddy makes a big pot of coffee so we can survive the day!

8:30 Play time! Play time consists of playing on their play mat, in their bouncers kicking like maniacs or in their jumper toy thingy that is way too loud for 8:30 in the morning. We talk (okay well I talk and they make funny faces at me) and blabber to each other for a bit and then everyone gets bored.....

9:30 "HE LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA"........Yep, Sponge Bob Square Pants time. Finley thinks he is most amusing and laughs and giggles and kicks her feat during the whole episode. It is hysterical.

10:00 Nap time (or should I rename it "torture my mother time") Neither one of the girls felt like taking a nap in their cribs this weekend, so it was cry, put pacifier in the mouth, scream on top of lungs (theirs not mine) and then repeat. Yeah...fun

10:30 Girls finally fell asleep! This is the frantic run around the house to clean up as much as you can before the girls get up, I did dishes, Gary did laundry, we both picked up the rest of the house and then sat down to drink another cup of coffee!

11:30 Gillian is up, feed her, change her get her dressed. Daddy plays with her in her room while I decide to pull out tubs and tubs of clothes in their closet to take out all the 3-6 month clothes she is in now, I took off all the tags, made a big pile of clothes and then Finley got up!

12:15 Feed Finley, change her and get her dressed. Play with babies some more!

1:30 To the mall for Easter dresses!

3:30 To Auntie Cheryl's and Memas for dinner! Feed Gillian, change and hand her off to someone else to play with for a while!

4:00 Finn wakes up, changed and fed her and handed her off.

5:00 Ate dinner, fell asleep on couch at Mema's for 45 minutes. Woke up dazed and confused, I am pretty sure that is my first nap in 4 months. Get dessert and coffee and relax some more!

6:30 Fun is over, back to reality. Get the girls ready to go, head to Kohl's to return the first Easter dresses I bought them.

7:00 Head back home, girls are crying and cranky and want BED!

7:45 Home, fed and changed both babies, Into Pj's and into BED for the night!

8:30 Picked up the house some more, sat comatose on my couch and went to bed at 9:30!!!

And that was our Fun Filled Saturday.

Cereal, shopping and sorting through clothes.

Yep, the title says it all....that was my weekend!

So we started the girls on cereal this weekend. I decided to go with oatmeal rather than rice since everyone told me the rice caused their babies to be constipated, and goodness knows with my fussy Gillian I don't need her constipated so oatmeal it was.

Gillian just didn't really know what to make of it, she just ate it without expression for the most part. Finley however made lots of "blauch" faces when she was eating hers.

Also I went out yesterday shopping for Easter dresses with my mom, I picked up the ones I thought I wanted and proceeded to lose my mind because all I could find was a white cardigan to go over one and a pink over the other, and this was not making me happy! I didn't want either one of the girls wearing a white cardigan...I wanted them in a flipping color, not white, so I went to a 2nd Kohl's looking for another pink cardigan but didn't have any luck. This caused me to second guess my whole entire outfit choice for them and head to the mall in search of something entirely different for them. Poor Gary. He's such a good sport, he just goes along with my craziness.

So I found matching cute dresses at Sears for the girls, and got them both cute shoes too to go with it, do you know Finley is still in NB size shoes? She has such bitty feet. I'm jealous.

Besides all the shopping fun I decided I needed to go through the totes in the girls closet and pull out all the 3-6 month stuff I got the girls, it was great. I got that same high I had shopping for the stuff as I was going back through it remembering what I got them. I just LOVE shopping. So I pulled it all out, pulled all the tags of it and its ready to be washed.

Which leads me to my next dilemma......space. The girls have WAY too many clothes. I only have a dresser for them and 2 drawers under their changing table. We have a oak dresser in the garage that used to be mine growing up that we have decided to paint and put in the girls room. It is tricky because Finley is still wearing size 0-3 and Gillian is wearing 3-6 so I am going to use one dresser for Gillian's clothes and the other for Finn's. Why O'Why couldn't they just be the same size??

So that about sums up my weekend I think. It was filled with shopping and clothes and fun!

I have some pics of the girls I will post later!

2-3-4 Sleep Schedule

Still trying to figure out this nap thing.....its been a tough one on me I must admit. Yesterday I worked from home and gave Gary a hands on "tutorial" of how to get the girls down for a nap. Its not getting them down that I have a issue with, they go right down for me (hopefully after I showed Gary what to do they go right down for him too) but the problem is they only sleep about a hour.

So the quick version of the 2-3-4 sleep schedule is to put them down for their first nap 2 hours after they wake for the morning, their second nap 3 hours after they get up from their first nap and bed time is 4 hours after they wake from their second nap. With this schedule the girls have been going to bed around 6-6:30sh which is working out good for them but they are only sleeping a hour for each nap. That's just insane to me. How can they not want to sleep more?

I was wondering if it was because they eat every 3 hours? So if they get put down 2 hours after they wake (and they have a bottle as soon as they wake) then they would be due a bottle a hour after they go down? I asked Gary to feed them before putting them down today so we will see what happens.

ahhh, this scheduling this is so confusing to me. I'm not a regimented person so trying to get my kids on a schedule is so hard for me!

Anyone have any pointers to get them to nap longer? We swaddle and use a white noise machine. Maybe we need black out curtains?

Anyway, we will be starting some cereal this weekend. Should be interesting. I will take lots of pics!

Ahh, The old baby "switch-a-roo"!

Usually Finley is the sweetest baby on the planet. Gillian is usually.....well not! Lol. Finley rarely cries, always smiles and is always sweet and cooing. Gillian is always frowning, never smiles and cries and cries.

For those of you pitying me right now, don't worry, I'm used to her.

So,anyway, suddenly out of the blue Gillian is the sweetest baby on the planet! She is smiling and talking and cooing and being adorable? I keep on asking her "What did you do with my mean Gilly" but she just smiles at me. Very strange. I was hoping this would happen eventually and don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled she suddenly decided it was time to be a good baby but what happened to my bad baby?

Finley is being cranky lately now, its like they switched bodies. Don't get me wrong, Finn is no where near as cranky as Gillian was but she sure is trying!

So, I think they switched bodies. Its the only thing that makes sense at this point.

Gillian......where did you go?

Elmo in Grouchland

Confession: I let me kids watch TV already and they are only 4 months old. I was always that person that said " I am never going to let my kids watch TV"........well, after I realized it would keep them occupied for at least 20 minutes its become my new best friend!

If your thinking about hitting my "comment" button and lecturing me, please spare me the trouble of having to delete your comment now and just slowly back away from my blog!

So, Gary is putting in some new windows we got today, which leaves me with both the girls (which is fine, It not like I'm not used to it) however I needed desperately to take a shower. I tried to get them to take a nap for a while but Finley just wouldn't bite, and every time she would start to fall asleep Gary would drill or bang or hammer something and it would jolt her up. So out to the living room we went. My first stop was Nickelodeon, the girls L-O-V-E Sponge Bob. Unfortunately, he didn't come on for another hour. So I found Elmo in Grouch land that Cheryl (my sister in law) gave us for the girls and popped it in. Finley was instantly mesmerized. I quickly got into the shower.

20 minutes later I emerged expecting her to be passed out in her bouncer in front of the TV but instead I found her laughing like a maniac and kicking her legs like crazy at the TV. She's so cute. She cracks me up. So she's still watching it, I don't have the heart to turn it off on her.

Weekly Recap

Welp, Its Friday again! Yippee for Fridays!

So I thought I would give a quick recap of the week!

For starters, it was freaking BEAUTIFUL out! So nice. At least 65 each day. The past 3 days I think were more in the 70's. It is giving me horrible spring fever, which by the way starts in a few days!

So besides the awesome weather the week was pretty uneventful.

Monday was so long ago I cant remember what I did that day. My guess is played with babies and then went to bed.

Tuesday the girls and I went to Mom's for St. Patty's day dinner! She made Corned beef and cabbage, red potato's and carrots. The boys and Sondra were there. It was fun. And yummy of course!

Wednesday cousin Stacey came over for bath night. Only I was too lazy to do bath night so it was just "sit around and talk for a hour and half night". She got her cell fixed too so we can text again! Yippee!

Thursday I decided to get unlazy and gave the girls baths, that was the highlight of my night. Baths. Geez I'm exciting huh?

Friday (today) Gary got me some Zeppoles for St. Josephs day. You know, I have no idea who St. Joseph is or why we eat Zeppoles on this day, but hey if there is food involved I will celebrate! The girls wore red, and I ate. Good day! I went to mom and dad's too and we had Chinese food....see where this is going????

I KILLED MY DIET THIS WEEK!!! If I didn't gain 5 pounds this week I would be shocked. Eeeeks.

So that was my week in a nutshell. Fun Fun.

On other randomness......is anyone else so excited to see this season of Dancing with the Stars? I am dying to see Kate Gosseling for some strange reason? Don't ask me why, I have been trying to figure it out myself. Anyway. Can't wait!

30 Things I love!

So I am in such a cranky mood tonight I decided what better way to cheer myself up then to list things I love?

1. Going into the girls room first thing in the morning to get them out of their cribs and being greeted by their HUGE smiles!

2. Spring cleanup around the yard. Nothing gets me in a better mood than picking up the old dog poo from the winter, raking the dead grass up and power washing our deck and patio!

3. Picnics.

4. Walking the beach to look for sea glass with my mother. Its like a silent competition and she usually wins.

5. Saturday movie nights with my brothers and Sondra.

6. Watching Ben make popcorn for movie night (he takes such pride in his popcorn making)!

7. Camping. Its great to get away from the daily grind and lose the cell phone and laptop even if its only for a few days at a time.

8. Kayaking. There is something so peaceful about being out on the water.

9. Dunkin Donuts iced coffee.

10. Grey's Anatomy, Ahhh McDreamy.....McSteamy. You make my Thursdays.

11. 3:30 on Friday when I get to leave work and head home for the weekend. I always leave with a extra pep in my step on Friday! Wonder why?

12. No matter how old I get, I will always be daddy's little girl.

13. Buying adorable clothes for the girls.

14. Wednesday bath nights when cousin Stacey comes to visit.

15. Harley, he is the best sweetest dog in the whole entire world!

16. McDonalds Filet O Fish sandwiches! Yum.

17. Gary. He's a great husband and a great father. What more could a girl ask for?

18. Sitting out on the deck with a cup of coffee in the morning before work.

19. My In-Laws. They treated me like family from day one.

20. Wrapsody wraps......if you don't know what they are, I pity you!

21. Happy coffee mugs.

22. Pedicures, nothing makes me happier than picking out the perfect color polish for my toes!

23. Girl Scout Cookies (Thin Mints Please!)

24. Blistex

25. Sour Cream (lots and lots of sour cream)

26. Fall, the smell of autumn leaves and hot apple cider.

27. New Shoes

28. The Red Sox

29. My girls names, no matter how strange people think they are!

30. And last but not least.....ICE CREAM!

Okay, I think I'm in a better mood now!

St. Patty Day pics!

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!

Happy St. Patty's Day! I was thinking this morning about what I would be doing if I didn't have the girls today. Obviously it would have involved a bar and dressing in green!

This year however is going to be very different....its going to involve me with my two sweet babies and the only person who will be dressing in green will be the girls with their St. Patty's day onsies I got them a few months back. No partying, no drinking, my my how things have changed! Thats okay though, I wouldn't trade their pretty little faces for all the green beer in the world!

My mom and my brothers are going out to celebrate tonight though, aren't they lucky? I can't wait for my brothers to get married and start having kids so I'm not the only one stuck home on a fun holiday.

We went to my mom's yesterday for dinner she made cornbeef and cabbage with carrots and red potato's. It was good. I ate too much, hopefully it wasn't too many weight watcher points.

A great start to a tired morning!

So this morning I had Finn on my lap and we were talking to each other and playing with each other and having a good happy morning! I put her face down on my chest and we were cuddling when I head a strange noise. It was kinda like a gurlgly noise, I had no idea what it was so I asked Finley what she was doing and went to lift to her up and was greeted with a huge smile from this face:

Now before you judge me for not immediately getting the spit up out of my babies eyes and off her face, I assure you she was cracking up and happy!

I couldn't stop laughing, Gary came to see what was so funny and I made him run for my camera.

I honestly still can't stop laughing.

What I find more amusing is who I have become, if I was spit up on like that a year ago I probably would have hurled myself. Now I just laugh hysterically. Did I mention I am still wearing my spit up on sweater? I keep smelling the milk on it and its making me smile. I may never wash it again.

Finley the roller!

So Bff has the girls for a hour a day while I am coming home and about 2 minutes before I got to her house to get them she texted me:

"Finley just rolled from her back to her belly!!! "

Thanks Finley for screwing me over again!!!! When are you going to roll over for me??

"Dont worry, I'll put that together later"

So Gary found high chairs today at Big Lots. They were only $50.00 each so he decided to just grab them without me seeing them. They are Safety 1st brand and not as cute as I was hoping for, I wanted pink ones, but I told him for $50.00 I would settle for whatever they looked like. So he called me after he got home with them and the conversation went something like this:

Gary: Hey, I got those highchairs.

Me: Oh yeah cool, do they have a washable material that wipes down easily or do you have to take the whole seat cover off and wash it? Cause that's a pain.....

Gary: Um, its kinda vinaly? You will have to look at it when you get home, if you don't like it I'll just return them tomorrow.

Me: Okay, well, I'm sure I will make you return them....

***mutual laugh***

Gary: Okay well I'm not gonna put it together in case you don't like them.

Me: That's okay, (insert sarcasm here) I'll just put them together when I get home.

Gary: Pft, yeah......okay! You would need to use a screwdriver and stuff.

***mutual laugh**

Me: What you don't think I can put together a high chair?

Gary: Well, your not really "chip girl Erin" anymore (for those that don't know me I was a potato chip vendor for a few years, I drove a truck and delivered chips to local Stop and Shops across the state, Gary loved this girl.....the chip girl, she could and would do anything, she was in great shape, but unfortunately, she's gone. I'm office girl now, apparently office girls can't put together things).

So, anyone who knows Gary knows he is "The handy man" around the house. He fixes everything and is great with home renovations, but something irked me the way he didn't think I could put together a high chair!!!!

So after I put the girls to bed tonight I decided I was going to show him! I would put together a high chair so I set off on my great "high chair" adventure.

I hate reading instructions. They always have funky pictures that make no sense and don't look anything like the actual pieces. So I had to read and reread everything a few times. At one point I put together part of it backwards but I managed to take it back apart fairly quickly and put it the right way.....so after about 40 minutes and a insane hunt for a pair of pliers, I managed to get it all put together. I stood back proudly and proceeded to bring it in the kitchen so Gary would see it as soon as he got home from work tonight.

Then I decided the only thing that would make me feel any better about shoving that high chair in his face would be if I could shove both high chairs in his face! So I put together the second one, which by the way took me half the time as the first one!

So I put that one right next to the other one so he can see it as soon as he walks in!

GO OFFICE ERIN!

Here are some pics of the finished product!

Starting Solids Soon!

Well, our Pedi said we can start solids at 4 months. I am excited! I went out this past weekend and got some rice cereal and stage 1 baby foods for the girls.

Now all we need is 2 high chairs and we will be good to go. Gary is out looking for some today. They are all so expensive! Why do I have to buy everything in 2's!?

2 Parents, 2 Grandparents, 2 kids and 2 dogs in 1 Camper.......

Well, Camping season starts in exactly 46 days! We have a huge 32 foot camper with slide outs that can easily sleep 10 people, My parents and I are seasonals at a great campground that we love. I have been trying to prepare mentally for the camping season ahead with the girls and my parents and the dogs and us all in this camper but I just can't picture it!

Where are they going to sleep? Will a pack and play fit in our room? Will they adjust to sleeping there instead of home? What will we do all day with them? How the heck am I going to fit 2 kids and 2 dogs and all of our stuff in our SUV?

Its obviously going to take a great deal of planning to get everything all set up at the camp for the girls. It should be interesting to say the least!

I really cant wait though. I think I just want the summer to hurry up and get here! The sooner I can get out of the house the better! At our campground there is a huge lake and we got a boat the end of last camping season so we are all anxious to get our boating license and take it out. Not sure how that's going to work with the babies but I am sure we will figure it out.

So wish us luck with our camping adventures. Hopefully the girls are future "nature girls" and not prissy little things that refuse to leave the camper. We shall see!

Pictures!

Dear Babies.....PLEASE TAKE A NAP!!!

Oh man...things are getting insane around the house! The girls are refusing to sleep for anymore than a half a hour two times a day. This obviously is making for extremely cranky babies by the time I get home from work! They are just exhausted. It sucks. I want awake fun babies when I get them! Not crazy cranky tired babies! For the past week they have been going to bed at around 6:30-7:00 every night. They used to go to bed at 9, now that they are going to bed earlier they are trying to get up at 4 or 5 in the morning for the day. And that just isn't going to happen in my house!

Last night was horrible! Gillian got up at 2 to eat, I fed her and put her back down, then at 4 Finley woke up screaming like a banshee (which she never does) and she wolfed down a bottle then went back to bed, then at about 4:30 Gillian started whining, it wasn't a "I'm hungry" whine either, it was a "lets get up and play" whine! I got up and stuck her pacifier back in her mouth and turned on her projector mobile and hoped she would just fall asleep...no such luck. So from 4:30-6:00 I tried to get her to go back to bed, finally I asked Gary to go get her and bring her in to bed with me hoping that would help but instead she just flailed like a maniac in bed with me. So that was my morning. Such fun. These kids better start taking naps during the day.

Print Your Blog

Did you know you can print your blog? I decided to look online and see if I could find someplace to print it so I can keep it forever for the girls. I actually found something! I love it!

I am going to do a few different books for them. I think I am going to break it up into one book being my Journey with Infertility and getting pregnant and the second being their birth and on. Maybe I will print one every 3 months......not sure yet. Anywho, heres the link:

Helmet Head

That will thankfully not be Finley's new name yet! We went to Children's today to see about her crazy crooked head and the doctor seems to think it will fix itself. I sure hope he's right! So we have to go back at 6 months and have it rechecked and if it hasn't fixed itself we will talk about getting her a helmet then. I am praying it corrects itself!

So besides that Mom and I went to Kohls today and got the cutest freaking outfit for the girls. It is a ladybug outfit. It has cute jeans with a top that says "cute as a bug" and a red jacket with lady bugs on it and lady bug antenna's on the hood of the jacket. Very adorable. Loved it, had to buy it! I think they will wear it tomorrow. Then we came home and I had Gary bring a couple totes of the girls old clothes downstairs and I cleaned out Finley's crib so she can start to sleep in it. I had it loaded to the brim with clothes of theirs! So, I put the clothes in totes and organized everything!

Now Finley can sleep in her own crib. I feel bad separating them though? Not sure why I feel bad but I do. I don't want them to feel lonely.....so we will see how that goes tonight!

Stupid Stupid Weight Watchers

UGH!!! I went to the doctors on Friday and was up to 166lbs. Now mind you I was wearing a jacket, and had my wallet and blackberry in my hands and my shoes on when I got on the scale (like my bag of excuses) but still..... A few weeks after having the girls I was down to 155lbs. My usual weight before I started my IVF cycle was in the 145 range. So now, I have to lose at least 20lbs.....I would love to be 135lbs, so maybe I should shoot for the 30 pound range? The thing is I am tall and don't look heavy by any means but it is still bugging me. I want my old body back. My nice, tight ass non sagging, non jiggling body!!! Where O' Where did it go? So, I joined Weight Watchers online again. I actually really love WW. I can eat whatever I want usually (in moderation) and never feel like I am on a diet, its just a pain to count my points and then I need to go for groceries so I can get everything in Low Fat or Fat Free....that's time consuming in itself. But now that its getting nice out I want to start walking everyday with the girls and hopefully can shed this baby weight before its bikini time.....because my goal is to be bikini ready by July 1st! That gives me 4 months. Which should be plenty of time...THEORETICALLY.

So wish me luck! I plan on kissing this saggy ass and love handles goodbye!

Dear Gillian

My little Fuss Pot. You are such a cutie pie when you wipe that puss of your face! You just started smiling a couple weeks ago. You sure did hold out a long time! Now I get them everyday. You have the most beautiful smile and the most beautiful blue eyes. I sure hope your eyes stay blue, if they do you can guarantee you will have all the boys chasing you.....and daddy chasing them!

You were sick this week, I thought I was going to lose my mind! You are one unhappy baby when you don't feel good! Don't worry, mommy understands. I actually enjoyed cuddling with you more!

You are getting so big! The last time we took you to the doctor you weighted almost 13 pounds. You look huge compared to your sissy and are about to go into 3-6 month clothes! Poor Finn is barely fitting into her 0-3's! Your chubby cheeks are so adorable. You also started wearing size 2 diapers yesterday!

Your starting to sleep good at night, you are sleeping about 10-12 hours and usually only get up once to eat. Mommy and Daddy usually fight over who is going to get up and feed you at 2:00 in the morning so if you could knock it off and start sleeping straight through the night like Finley it would be appreciated!

You are really starting to get your own little personality too, its called STUBBORN and INDEPENDENT. You want things your way or the high way. Kind of reminds me of myself. You don't want to sit back on anyone anymore. All you want to do is sit up in my lap. I think you like to feel like you are sitting up like a big girl. Your also starting to stand in my lap, I think your going to be the first to walk.

Keep on being my little firecracker! You keep us on our toes and things interesting around here! Love you!!!

Mommy

Dear Finley

Why did you roll from your belly to your back today for Daddy and not me? You are 3 months old now and getting so big. I can't believe it has been 3 months since we brought you home. I was laying in bed last night thinking of when you and Gillian used to get up every 2-3 hours to eat. It was hell. Now you are sleeping at least 10 hours a night without getting up once! Believe me, Daddy and I are grateful!

You got your first cold this week, that wasn't fun. You took it like a trooper though! You let us sucky out your nose and put in the saline without fussing. Sometimes you even smile! I think you know we are trying to help you. You only had one day where you were really fussy and even then you weren't too bad.

Your head is pretty crooked and flat honey......sorry to tell you but I think you are going to need a helmet! Blame it on your sissy. When you were born you had something called torticollis because you were so squished inside me and Gillian had all the room! So you were unable to look to your left and because of that you have a wicked flat spot on one side. We are going to Children's on Tuesday to find out if you need one or not. Don't worry, if you do, I will make it the prettiest coolest helmet you have ever seen!!!

You are also "talking" alot, your favorite words to say are "oooh" and "owwwww" Its so cute when you go on your talking rampages. You will say ooooh and owwwww over and over again forever. Daddy and I just laugh at you!

You really are a sweetie pie! My favorite part of the day is when I go into your room to get you up for the day. You are all smiles then. You make my whole entire day!

I miss you so much during the day. I wish I didn't have to go back to work when I did. Please don't do anything else special for Daddy and save it for me!!

Love you to pieces!

Mommy!
