Attack of the twins.....

I don't know what happened to my sweet Gillian over the past week? She's turned into a biting maniac! She used to be afraid of Finley, she would never bite or hit and now suddenly she's attacking her every chance she gets.

She's biting, hitting, kicking, slapping and even pulling hair. Who is this kid?

So tonight I decided to take drastic measures. I put her in time out. I knew it was only a matter of time.......today was definitely the time.

I put a chair in the corner of her play room (that was where we were playing at the time) and put her in it. She laughed and got up about 30 times before she finally figured out I meant business and then her laughs turned into whines and she stayed there for about a minute and a half. Then I told her to say sorry (which she can't say yet but I figure she'll learn it eventually) and that was that.

Fifteen minutes later she smacked Finley and landed herself right back in. This time she got up once and then stayed for her minute.

Then of course because I didn't have enough to do all night Finley bit Gillian and she ended up in time out for the first time. She too got up about 30 times and was laughing and running from the chair but eventually realized she had no other choice and stayed there crying.

I'm hoping this is the start to good obedient children.

Draw, Draw, Draw, Draw, Draw........

The girls new favorite toy is a magna doodle. Its all they play with now a days.

I think we have 5 or 6 of them now ranging from big to small and they follow anyone who is around all day long saying "Draw, Draw, Draw."

I'm not an artist, thank goodness my only critics are a couple 20 month olds!

I've been drawing trees, apples, cars, boats, flowers, stick figures, ice creams and sun's for a week......it's getting kinda old. (for me anyway) Gillian on the other hand doesn't seem to be getting tired of it yet.

I must be a pretty good artist though because every time I draw an ice cream Gillian sticks out her tongue, tries to lick it and says "YUM!" Silly kid.

Help! I'm talking and I can't shut up!

When I was a kid I used to talk so fast I would stutter. My grandma got me a shirt that said "Help, I'm talking and I can't shut up.....Thanks Gram.

I remember very vividly my father screaming at me to "SLOW DOWN ERIN!!!! THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!!!!!"

Thankfully I grew out of that.

Now I have my dear sweet Gillian who is picking up at least 5 new words a day. She repeats EVERYTHING you say and I am amazed by how much she's talking now. I hope she doesn't develop a stutter. She's too cute for that.

Then there is my sweet Finley....... She's talking or she's trying at least. She would still rather do her signature "Finley whine" and shake her head "NO" at you though. Although she did start shaking her head "YES" this week. Thank goodness because the "NO" was getting kinda old.
